Life and hospital indemnity plans providing extra peace of mind at a low cost.  These plans offer cash to you when you meet one or more of the covered expenses, such as hospitalization or medical procedure.   With the new increases in cost sharing, having an indemnity is smart. 

You can optionally get a Gap plan that covers most of the charges that Medicare doesn’t cover.  This is a good way to distribute your medical cost over structured payments.  These plans have an additional monthly cost that have historically increased as you age.
